At a staff meeting, the management of the family business 'Lackwerke Peters', which was founded 53 years ago, informed the workforce of the Lower Rhine-based company about the upcoming change: With immediate effect, the paint manufacturer's business will be managed by Britta and Benjamin Alfes together with Brigitte and Ralf Schwartz. This means that the third generation is now involved in the company.
On December 31, 2025, the second generation Brigitte and Ralf Schwartz will retire from the active business of the Peters Group. From the turn of the year, Britta Alfes, granddaughter of company founder Werner Peters, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 85, and her husband Benjamin Alfes will take over the sole management of the company as dual leadership.

With four colored stickers, which all four managing directors affixed to a blue Peters barrel at the end of the meeting, they illustrated the company's fundamental values (value orientation, experience, responsibility, innovation). Employees then stuck further signs on the barrel. On them were words such as team spirit, courage, motivation, communication, appreciation and flexibility. They symbolize the successful shaping of the future of the family business.
