According to current forecasts by the US market research and consulting firm Gartner, global spending on artificial intelligence will total around USD 1.5 trillion in 2025. For 2026, Gartner predicts that spending will exceed USD 2 trillion.

According to John-David Lovelock , Distinguished VP Analyst at Gartner, the reasons for the increase are the increasing integration of AI in products such as smartphones and PCs as well as the expansion of the AI infrastructure in order to further increase the scaling of services in data centers with AI-optimized hardware and GPUs. In addition, there would be growing spending by Chinese companies, new AI cloud providers and increased venture capital for companies active in this market segment. Gartner also expects significant growth in AI-related services in the future.
