Due to strong market fluctuations in the automotive and industrial electronics sector, Schweizer Electronic has implemented comprehensive measures to adjust the cost and personnel structure at its Schramberg site in Baden-Württemberg.

Thanks to successful restructuring, short-time working was ended at the beginning of October. According to preliminary figures, orders on hand amounted to approximately € 260 million at the end of the third quarter. The program to adjust personnel structures was completed as part of a voluntary program without any reconciliation of interests or social plan measures. The company supported employees with the transition to retirement or new career paths.

There are also positive signs of growth for 2026.

According to CEO Nicolas Schweizer, the company has used the crisis as an opportunity to review and adjust cost structures and reposition itself. The strategic orientation of the plant in Schramberg will be expanded from its strong focus on the automotive industry to include other customer groups in order to better hedge against market fluctuations and expand its market position across the board. The stable order situation for the remainder of 2025 underlines the sustainable stabilization of the site. There are also positive signs of growth for 2026.
