Hilpert becomes sales partner for LPKF's production portfolio for PCB prototyping

After Hilpert AG has significantly expanded and optimized its product portfolio in recent months, the leading Swiss distribution partner for electronics production can now welcome another top-class supplier: Hilpert is now distributing the systems for in-house production of PCB prototypes from LPKF.

"When developing new products, new development steps have to be taken time and time again, during which adjustments to the layout are always necessary. LPKF Laser & Electronics' solutions for the internal production of prototypes and small series give our customers every opportunity to react flexibly to new development steps," says Raphael Burkart, Managing Director of Hilpert electronics AG. Thanks to the cooperation with LPKF, Hilpert now distributes all systems required for the production of printed circuit boards. This includes structuring, drilling, through-hole plating, separating and the application of solder resist. Multi-layer PCBs can also be manufactured using LPKF's systems. "Depending on the depth of application and budget, we can provide interested parties with the right system. We also offer the right consumables as well as the necessary tools etc., which means that customers receive everything they need for PCB production from a single source," explains Stephan Krause, Sales Director at LPKF.

LPKF systems have advantages over external PCB service providers, particularly when it comes to prototype production or research. The internal manufacturing process saves time and money, as the new PCBs with the new layout are available in a much shorter period of time. Internal prototyping also has other advantages, such as the freedom to develop and experiment, revise, correct, fit and improve existing PCBs quickly and cost-effectively. This shortens the R&D time and thus the entire market launch process. Furthermore, confidential design data remains in-house. "LPKF is a technology leader in this area of electronics production and we are delighted that we can now offer our customers the entire range of prototyping and small series production, including assembly, from a single source," says Burkart.
