KAMIC Group establishes global competence center for magnet technology

The KAMIC Group has integrated Talema, ETAL and SIGA into its Magnetics division, establishing a global center of excellence for magnetic technology with manufacturing facilities in five countries and direct representation in the world's major economies.

The expanded Magnetics division, led by Dan Phelan, will provide a comprehensive portfolio of magnetic components, with around 1100 employees, including 15 engineers developing customized solutions.

Talema's expertise in transformers and toroidal components complements ETAL's focus on planar magnet technology. The enlarged group will continue to manufacture and distribute internally developed high-performance magnetic components such as transformers, transformers, current transformers and chokes used in rectifiers, DC/DC converters and signaling applications. The majority of the components are designed for specific applications, but the business unit also offers a range of standard components.

Talema's production facilities in the Czech Republic and India complement the KAMIC Group's existing plants in the UK, Estonia and Sri Lanka. Sales offices in the USA, Germany, Czech Republic, India and Ireland are combined with ETAL and SIGA's presence for customers in the UK and Scandinavia. In addition, the Magnetics division now has access to Talema's global sales network, sales partners and distributors.
