The board of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has elected Milton Guerry from Schunk/USA as its new president. Klaus König from KUKA Robotics is the new Vice President. Guerry succeeds Steven Wyatt (ABB, Switzerland), who is leaving ABB and thus stepping down from office.
Wyatt has held the office of President since December 2019 and was previously Vice President for two years.
Guerry leads the Schunk/USA team based in Morrisville, North Carolina. He joined the company in 2000 and has held various leadership positions. He assumed his current role as Managing Director in 2007. Guerry is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Robotic Industries Association (RIA).
König is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the KUKA Robotics division based in Augsburg. He joined KUKA in July 2017 as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, he held various management positions in the German automotive industry. -dir/vk-
