The ZVEI is convinced that the fight against the coronavirus requires a strong and productive industry, especially in these times. "In order to implement the pandemic contingency plans, our medical technology companies must be able to continue production," explains ZVEI President Michael Ziesemer.
"This requires that supply chains and logistics are guaranteed and that the workforce can continue to come to the companies." This is the ZVEI's response to voices calling for a Chinese-style shutdown of European industrial production. "We now need more ventilators, more computer tomographs and much more, not less," Ziesemer continued. He appeals to companies to take the highest protective measures for their workforces. -dir/vk-
