The duotec Group has acquired the majority of shares in ml&s manufacturing, logistics and services GmbH (ml&s). ml&s is headquartered in Greifswald and is one of the top 15 electronics manufacturing companies (EMS) in Germany with more than 500 employees.
Phillipp Mirliauntas, Managing Director and Chief Sales Officer of the duotec Group, explains: "With the acquisition of the ml&s shares, we have set the course for a strategic and sustainable orientation of the duotec Group. Due to the continued growth in demand for electronics, we need additional production capacity, which will be available to us in the future with the support of ml&s." The merger of the two companies is a building block in the realignment of the duotec Group.
Dr. Karl J. Werner, Managing Director of HN Holding GmbH and long-standing majority shareholder of ml&s, expressly welcomes the merger of the two companies. Udo Possin and Bernd Odoj will continue in their roles as managing directors of ml&s. As ml&s will be the key pillar of the global manufacturing network in the future, both gentlemen will also take on central tasks within the duotec Group.
With the logistics center in Greifswald, the duotec Group is expanding its logistical qualities.
Udo Possin is convinced: "Together with the duotec Group, we are paving the way for strategic expansion and strengthening the Group's competitiveness in the long term. This puts us in the best possible position for the expected changes in the global EMS market." "The duotec Group and ml&s complement each other perfectly. By combining the manufacturing and logistics expertise of ml&s with the innovative strength and market access of the duotec Group, we can offer our customers an optimal and sustainable range of services," says Bernd Odoj.
The partners emphasize that the focus is on business continuity: "In the interests of our customers, we look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with the ml&s team and our suppliers."
