Mr. Printed Circuit Board now goes into local politics

Jürgen Nitsche, long-standing sales representative of Lackwerke Peters and known as 'Mr. PCB', is retiring. The 68-year-old has been selling the Kempen-based manufacturer's coating systems and potting compounds for almost 25 years. "However, my relationship with Peters has actually grown over a total of 40 years. It all started in 1982 through the collaboration with the then Technical Director Rüdiger Dietrich," he recalls.

At the time, Nitsche was working in the research and development department of one of the leading PCB manufacturers, Fuba Hans Kolbe & Co. His father was already there when the first printed circuit boards were produced at Fuba's main plant in Bad Salzdetfurth in 1957 and, together with competitor Ruwel (launched in 1956), the company began to introduce the printed circuit board in Germany. Jürgen Nitsche brought with him not only his own experience, but also a great deal of technical knowledge and established networks from his father's generation when he also entered the PCB industry.

In 1997, he set up his own sales and consulting company, Semetec Leiterplattentechnologie, while maintaining contact with Rüdiger Dietrich and Lackwerke Peters. "We always worked together to develop a solution for the customer," says Nitsche. Thanks to his knowledge and experience in PCB technology, his remit went far beyond that of a sales representative.

Jürgen Nitsche wants to continue to lead a fairly active life - he is a keen tennis player - but would like to devote more time to his family after his busy time in the field. He is also entering politics: At the last local elections, he was elected 2nd Deputy Mayor of Seesen. In future, Friedrich J. Gerecht will take over his sales duties as a sales representative from Peters. The industrial clerk started his career at Peters and has now been with the company for almost ten years.
