MASS has opened a new demo center at its headquarters in Anröchte, North Rhine-Westphalia, which focuses on process development in PCB production. The aim of the demo center is to test and further develop customer-specific processes in a practical manner.
The focus is on applications relating to via filling, wet sanding and thermal drying. Real production conditions can be simulated. The VCP 5000-1 vacuum chamber plugging system, the SV 200 WV wet grinding machine and a two-zone drying oven with up to 160 °C are available for this purpose. Unlike conventional systems, the VCP system uses a completely closed vacuum chamber, which reliably removes air and moisture from PCB drill holes. This should significantly improve the quality of the filling process and allow repeatable, pore-free results, even with multiple filling cycles.
The SV 200 WV removes excess paste from the PCB surface, creating a uniform copper layer for subsequent processes. The compact design of the drying oven makes it suitable for flexible production environments and provides stable conditions for pastes and coatings.
The Demo Center is aimed at PCB manufacturers and process developers who want to evaluate complex post-processing steps. Appointments can be made for both on-site visits and remote demonstrations via the company website. The offer complements the existing portfolio of MASS, which specializes in systems for reliable PCB processing.
