The Kempen-based company Peters is now using a new coating system from the Swedish company Mycronic. The MYC10, developed in cooperation between the Swedes and an Asian manufacturer, is a "smart machine" that is almost half the size of large industrial systems, reports Johannes Tekath, laboratory manager at Peters Research.
The newly acquired system enables Peters to use standard coating heads for spraying, dispensing and casting in the smallest of spaces and is a sensible investment in coating technology.
For Johannes Tekath, the advantages of the MYC10 are obvious: "All important coating parameters of the paints are determined precisely and quickly, so that they can also be used in large machines." According to the experienced engineer, this means that it no longer matters which machine the customer or manufacturer has. In addition, handling is easier and the coating effort for sample coatings is less.
