April brings a major change for EBARA Precision Machinery Europe (EPME): Jörg Bruckamp took over as Managing Director on April 1, 2024. The graduate engineer brings with him over 15 years of extensive experience within the company, where he has held various positions in sales and technology.
Jörg Bruckamp succeeds Dr. Reinhart Richter, who has retired after nine years at EPME. Jörg Bruckamp most recently held the position of Senior Director Sales Components and Engineering. According to the company, his in-depth specialist knowledge, customer focus and leadership qualities make him the ideal choice to take over the management of the company.
EPME, headquartered in Sauerlach near Munich, is the European sales and service company of EBARA Corporation Tokyo and is known as a producer of vacuum and semiconductor systems used in the manufacture of wafers, liquid crystals, solar cells and other high-tech products. EBARA Corporation was founded in 1912 by Issey Hatakeyama. It employs over 19,800 people worldwide and has an annual turnover of over €4.7 billion. EBARA supplies manufacturers in the chip industry. The EPME portfolio includes dry and turbomolecular vacuum pumps as well as modern gas purification systems, for example for the chemical industry. EPME also sells CMP tools, wafer bevel polishing and substrate coating systems for chip manufacturing. In 2021, EBARA opened its second overhaul center for vacuum pumps in Dresden.
