Simon Reiser is the new Managing Director for the Laser Plastic Welding division at LPKF in Fürth. The industrial engineer with an MBA started his career in sales at a large automotive supplier and progressed through strategy development to business unit management. He spent five years in leading positions in China before returning to his Franconian homeland. As a manager, Reiser wants to be close to technology and production and, above all, close to the customer.
He sees growth opportunities for laser plastic welding through new technologies and is convinced that the growing field of e-mobility, for example, will open up further applications and new markets for LPKF: Laser plastic welding makes the use of plastics for many new applications possible and economical in the first place. In addition to the automotive sector, the new Managing Director also sees great development potential in medical technology and consumer electronics.
