Feinhütte Halsbrücke celebrated the inauguration of a new production facility for the agglomeration of complex secondary materials (recycling materials) on January 15, 2025.

After three years of planning, approval, construction and assembly, the plant (investment volume of around €8.5 million) has now been put into operation. It is a milestone in the company's further development and sets standards in terms of material output, emission reduction and improved working conditions. According to Tobias Patzig, Managing Director of Feinhütte, the new plant with its extended technical possibilities for material pre-treatment now makes it possible to process a wider range of secondary raw materials for which recycling is currently difficult.

During the ceremony, Saxony's State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Thomas Kralinski, emphasized that raw materials in one's own country are the basis for prosperity and geopolitical independence. Feinhütte Halsbrücke thus makes an important contribution to the success of Saxony's raw materials strategy.

The inauguration ceremony with around 60 invited guests included a presentation on the progress of the project, words of welcome from regional politicians and an informative tour of the new plant.
