Infineon Technologies Austria has filed a lawsuit against Innoscience Technology and Innoscience America, as well as affiliated companies in the USA in the state of California. Infineon is seeking, among other things, injunctive relief for infringement of a US patent.
The patent claims relate to essential properties of GaN power semiconductors and Infineon's innovations. Innoscience is accused of infringing said patent by making, using, offering for sale, selling and/or importing into the United States various products, including GaN transistors for numerous applications in the automotive industry, data centers, solar applications, drives, consumer electronics and related products for use in automotive, industrial and other applications.
