Schweizer Electronic AG is investing in four new systems for its production at the Schramberg site in order to equip its PCB production for future developments and requirements with regard to Industry 4.0. Specifically, these are two new milling machines, a drilling machine and an X-ray drilling machine including a robot system. These measures have adapted the mechanical process area to the latest needs and requirements.
The drilling and milling machines are equipped with high-precision technology and CCD camera systems. The X-ray drilling system, also equipped with the latest technology, will in future be able to produce the most precise references to the inner layers, which will provide great added value in the production of printed circuit boards and will of course also have a noticeable effect on quality. All systems are also already equipped for a larger panel format. The investments are also an important basis for the company's traceability concept.
"It is very important that we continue to develop in production - simply because of our quality standards and our relentless ambition to innovate - and thus keep our machinery at a high, process-reliable level. Our continuous investment in the latest systems and thus also in the latest technologies are in turn your optimized PCB technologies of tomorrow," says Thomas Rall, Director Sales and Marketing at Schweizer Electronic AG. The systems will all be delivered and commissioned in the course of this year (2022). Schweizer Electronic expects a significant increase in competitiveness. The systems are being funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.
