With its new trade fair 'Focus on PCB', NürnbergMesse Italia, a subsidiary of NürnbergMesse Group, is inaugurating an annual event with conferences and forums for the PCB technology market on May 18 and 19, 2022 in Vicenza in the Veneto region of northern Italy. NürnbergMesse calls the event 'the first and only trade fair in Europe to focus exclusively on printed circuit boards'. It takes place at the Vicenza exhibition center, which was expanded to eight halls in 2014. It is co-organized by the Italian electronics industry association Assodel è l'Associazione Distretti Elettronica in Italia.
The annual B2B trade fair will bring together industry representatives and PCB developers from leading companies and end users. The event will include conferences and forums where experts will analyze the potential of the booming market. Workshops and seminars will focus on the types and applications of PCBs - single and double-sided, multilayer, flexible and rigid-flex PCBs, metal-based PCBs and 3D-printed PCBs.
NürnbergMesse CEOs Peter Ottmann and Dr Roland Fleck welcome the addition to their portfolio: "We are delighted that our subsidiary, which has existed since 2009, is now taking off with a high-tech event and thus consistently continuing our course of internationalization in Italy as well." For Luca Giovelli, Head of the PCB Group and Managing Director of Fineline Italy, the choice is primarily for strategic reasons: "The Assodel PCB Group is aiming for an international reach. That's why we decided to work with the Italian subsidiary of NürnbergMesse." Around half of all Italian component manufacturers are organized in the aforementioned industry association. Its subgroup Assodel PCB Group unites around 20 companies. The Italian component trade association ANIE Componenti Elettronici is also involved.
