The PCIM Europe digital days presented the latest developments in power electronics from May 3 to 7 and, thanks to the great interest and participation of companies and speakers, was also a purely digital meeting place for the industry. Over 2,700 international participants learned about new products and the latest research results in numerous company profiles, live webinars, conference presentations and an extensive forum program.
Werner Dorbath, Head of International Marketing Communication, Semikron International GmbH: "PCIM remains the meeting place for the industry, even in digital form. We were able to make new contacts, discuss with customers, present our new products and solutions and see which topics are moving the industry."
In the conference program, over 240 speakers presented the latest trends in the field of power modules and SiC devices, among other things, and were available to answer questions from participants afterwards. Among the highlights of the program were the keynotes 'Next Generation of Power Electronics Module Packaging', Hannes Stahr, AT&S, Austria and 'HVDC Grid Challenges Locks and Opportunities', Seddik Bacha, SuperGrid Institute, France. Both were broadcast live. The keynote speech on 'Next-Generation SiC/GaN Three-Phase Variable-Speed Drive Inverter Concepts' by Johann Walter Kolar, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, was a particular crowd-puller with an audience of over 400. The next PCIM Europe is scheduled to take place from May 10 - 12, 2022, again as an in-person event at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center.
