The e-paper displays from technology company Ynvisible are thin, flexible, energy-saving and therefore energy-efficient.
They are suitable for battery-operated or battery-free applications thanks to the low electrical power in the microwatt range, the low operating voltage of 1.5 V and the long image retention time. The displays are printed on flexible plastics, paper and textiles using a roll-to-roll process. According to the manufacturer, this allows the displays to be offered 50% more cost-effectively than competing large-screen formats.
The displays are used as digital signage and smart labels in the clothing and fashion industry, as public information displays and in food retailing for dynamic labeling.
