As the world's leading manufacturer of thermal system solutions for the electronics industry, Rehm has sales and service offices in 26 countries and regions, with Asia consistently being an important part of the company's global market strategy.
Since the 1990s, Rehm has recognized the considerable potential of the Asian market and has actively established sales and service representations in the region. In 2007, Rehm invested in a production site in Dongguan, China. The rapid development of technology in the region and the rapid progress of industrial technology in China have enabled Rehm to significantly expand its market share in Asia. To date, the Dongguan site has expanded 4-fold and new subsidiaries have been added in Hong Kong, Suzhou and Taiwan, as well as branches in Korea, Thailand and India. In September 2020, Andy Wang was officially appointed as Rehm Asia-Pacific Sales Director, responsible for leading the sales and marketing teams in Asia.
Andy Wang has worked for Rehm Thermal Systems for almost 15 years, joining the Rehm sales team in 2007. In 2015, he took over the coordination of sales activities and business development in the region as Regional Sales Director of East & North China. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in sales management and successfully expanded Rehm's market share in the region. In addition, before joining our company, Andy Wang worked in the field of technical support for the reflow soldering process and thus has extensive technical know-how to provide customers with competent advice in all matters.
In recent years, the electronics manufacturing industry in China has become increasingly high-quality, precise and sophisticated. At the same time, the electronics industry is gradually shifting from China to other Asian regions such as Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries as well as India. This creates further potential for Rehm Thermal Systems: "In this context, we will continue to drive forward the optimization and innovation of soldering technology in order to be able to offer higher quality thermal system solutions in various areas such as convection soldering, vapor phase soldering, contact soldering and vacuum soldering in the future, and thus create the corresponding added value for customers," says Andy Wang.
