Schweizer Electronic AG: Preliminary result for the first half of 2022 and adjustment of the forecast for the current financial year

Schweizer AG: EBITDA below expectations. In the first half of 2022, the Schweizer Group generated turnover of € 64.6 million (same period of the previous year: € 59.4 million). This corresponds to an increase in turnover of 8.8%. The order backlog increased to € 242.4 million (31.12.2021: € 191.8 million) due to a continued good order intake in the second quarter of 2022.

The preliminary EBITDA of the listed - and therefore public - manufacturer of PCBS and embedded solutions amounted to € -7.1 million (first half of 2021: € -5.2 million). The EBITDA ratio thus amounted to -11.0% (first half of 2021: -8.8%) and was therefore below the expectations of the company management. The main reason for this was a delay in the positive effects from the earnings improvement measures introduced at the Chinese subsidiary.

In light of the increased uncertainty over the course of the year, the Executive Board has decided to update the forecast for the current financial year. The Management Board expects sales growth in the range of +5% to +15% (previously: +10% to +20%). The expectation for the EBITDA ratio has been adjusted to -4% to -8% (previously: +1% to -4%). The talks with investors to secure sufficient liquidity for the Chinese subsidiary are making good progress.

From today's perspective, the aim is to implement the capital measures in China in the second half of the year. The final figures for the first half of 2022 will be available from August 5, 2022 at
