On January 2, 2023, Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT), Prettl Produktions Holding and SWH International Holding announced that FIT has reached an agreement to acquire Prettl SWH Group.
This is a major developer and manufacturer of sensor, connectivity and electrification solutions. The acquisition strengthens FIT's technology in the areas of sensing, connectivity and electrification in the automotive and mobility industry and reinforces the long-term goal of developing and manufacturing electric vehicles. SWH Group's core business areas are an ideal fit with FIT's current strategic development direction for electric vehicles 'Power Connection, Data Connection and Human to Machine'. In future, the Prettl SWH Group will operate as a subsidiary of FIT, while retaining its operational independence and corporate culture.
