The Japanese electronics company TDK Corporation has joined the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), headquartered in Virginia, USA. The RBA is the world's largest coalition of electronics companies committed to improving corporate social responsibility (CSR) in global supply chains. The RBA has developed a code of conduct as well as several programs, training and assessment tools that promote continuous improvement.
As a member of the RBA, the company aims to continuously improve its operations and bring them in line with the RBA Code of Conduct. In addition, TDK will support its Tier 1 suppliers to follow the same approach. By becoming a member of the RBA, TDK aims to increase efforts for the rights, health and safety of workers throughout the TDK Group and its Tier 1 suppliers. It also aims to strengthen environmental protection. TDK is committed to following the RBA Code of Conduct and making it a global standard within the company.
