Applications for the 17th Galvanizing Award for Architecture and Metal Design are now open. Architects, engineers, steel and metal fabricators, designers and metal designers are invited to take part in the competition for the award of the Industrieverband Feuerverzinken.
The 15,000 euro prize is awarded to innovative buildings, objects and products that are hot-dip galvanized to a significant extent or contain interesting hot-dip galvanized details. The submitted objects must have been created in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, or the creator must be based in the "D-A-CH" region. An independent, high-caliber jury selects the winners in the two categories of architecture and metal design.
First awarded in 1989, the Galvanizing Prize is now a highly respected platform for innovative architecture and metal design with steel. Well-known architects and designers have taken part in the competition in the past. For newcomers and lesser-known architects and metal designers, the award serves as a springboard and as an opportunity to present outstanding projects to a large public.
