Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals for sustainable solutions, today announced the appointment of Thomas Bucher as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2021. He replaces Roland Waibel, who is retiring.
Thomas Bucher has a long career in finance, having held CFO positions at leading industrial and service companies as well as senior finance roles in the chemical industry. He joins Archroma from Alpiq Holding AG, where he has been Group CFO and a member of the Executive Board since 2015. Prior to Alpiq, Thomas Bucher was Group CFO at Gategroup for six years, where he oversaw the IPO and subsequent strategic repositioning of the company. Prior to that, he held various senior finance positions at Ciba Specialty Chemicals for over 12 years.
