Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals for sustainable solutions, today announced the relocation of its headquarters to Pratteln, just outside Basel, as well as an adapted research and development function for the existing Reinach site.
Archroma's new headquarters in the Haus der Wirtschaft (HWD) is located in a business center that houses the Baselland Chamber of Commerce and a fully-fledged conference and event center, among other companies. The new offices have been designed to enable smooth and efficient collaboration and a pleasant visitor experience.
The move comes after a decade of growth at Archroma's TechCenter building in Reinach, also near Basel, which has evolved from a pure tech hub to a location for a growing number of business services and teams. With the opening of the new HWD headquarters, the TechCenter in Reinach, designed to house laboratories and technical expert teams, will return to its roots and focus on global R&D and application development to support the Archroma Competence Centers (CC) based in Switzerland: CC Textile Finishing; CC Textile Impregnation; CC Paper Dyeing; and CC Paper White.
"With our new HWD headquarters, we are joining a dynamic business center," comments Heike van de Kerkhof, CEO of Archroma. "We are excited to reposition our Reinach site as a true 'tech hub' to provide our customers with innovative, sustainable solutions and services that help them add value to their products. Our scientific and technological expertise, coupled with a deep understanding of the market, customers and regulatory requirements, forms the basis for the development of safer and more sustainable chemicals and processes in the industries we serve. With this latest development, we are reaffirming our strong commitment to our Swiss roots and presence."
The transition will take place in December 2021.
