BASF has expanded its Automotive Coatings Application Center at the Coatings Technology Center in Mangalore, India. It is an important part of BASF's existing research and development (R&D) facilities for automotive coatings. The Automotive Coatings Application Center covers an area of 400 square meters and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including high-precision air-conditioned spray booths and electrostatic rotary bell atomizers as well as a modern quick-connect system for electrostatic painting. The facility has been specially designed for customer-oriented R&D activities as well as for the faithful simulation of OEM paint stores.
"The expansion of the Application Center is an important addition to the Indian market for high-quality automotive coatings. BASF also operates Automotive Coatings Application Centers in Shanghai, China, Totsuka, Japan and Bangpoo, Thailand in the Asia Pacific region.
