Bodo Möller Chemie Group grows by 40 percent

The Bodo Möller Chemie Group grew significantly in 2021. Despite the current situation with shortages on the raw materials market and enormous price increases for certain products, the company recorded growth of 40 percent as a supplier and application expert for specialty chemicals. Existing partnerships with leading manufacturers were expanded even further, and new industrial partners were added to the Bodo Möller Chemie Group's portfolio. "This development impressively confirms our strategy of combining the distribution of technologically leading products from well-known manufacturers with our own extensive expertise in their application and use. Added to this are our own products, which we manufacture at our own sites. We are very grateful that we have also achieved this growth around Corona despite the problematic global situation," says Frank Haug, CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. The Group has its own sites around the world and a sophisticated logistics network, which enables it to guarantee enormous delivery reliability. In 2021, new regional branches were opened in Bucharest, Romania, and in the Spanish capital Madrid.

Headquarters expansion

The headquarters in Offenbach am Main also moved into new premises. Customer Service is now housed in a building adjacent to the Bodo Möller Chemie headquarters, and a separate showroom for technical solutions with specialty chemicals is being planned. Cooperation with leading manufacturers in the chemical industry has been significantly expanded, with exclusive distribution agreements in place for numerous regions worldwide. In 2021, the distribution in Europe and China of Henkel Adhesive Technologies for numerous market segments - including electrical and automotive, furniture & building components and surface treatment - was successfully expanded. Further collaborations were established with Merck, Kraton and Songwon in the area of performance chemicals. For the CASE industry (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers), additional partnerships were entered into with FP Pigments, Imerys and Budenheim, each for different sales regions. Porcher Industries is a new partner in the area of composites and tooling, and further partnerships for plastic additives and pigments are about to be concluded.

Expansion of the service portfolio

"Industry partners not only value our company's excellent market access - we enjoy a reputation among customers worldwide as a reliable and competent supplier and consultant - but also the range of services that customers can benefit from. This includes our certified laboratories as well as the individual cut-off service for fiberglass fabrics and other services that exceed the industry standard," explains Frank Haug. The Israeli subsidiary is certified in accordance with the ISO:9001 standard with the AS9120 extension for the aerospace industry. The Adhesive Competence Center (ACC), also based in Europe, advises on the implementation of bonding processes and helps customers to prepare audits in accordance with DIN 2304 and DIN 6701-2. The ACC is certified for both standards. "We are on our way to becoming one of the leading adhesive distributors and application experts in Europe and the world. The industry today requires more knowledge from a supplier than ever before, and this specialization in product and expertise has always been our mission," concludes Frank Haug.
