"The corona crisis must not distract us from the greatest challenge of our time - climate change," warns Dierk Behrmann, CEO of the 3River Metal Group. "Industry in Germany can save around 30 percent of energy and thus tons ofCO2 emissions through simple energy efficiency measures. That's why we want to set a good example," says Behrmann.
According to Behrmann, acting responsibly today means thinking in terms of circular systems and value chains. This includes energy supply, raw material recycling and responsible supply and disposal. Aluminum materials in particular offer the best conditions for this. When recycled sustainably, they form the basis for new products.
