Online chemistry courses for training

The "Galvanotechnik for you" (GTFY) platform offers three comprehensive online chemistry courses for basic and advanced training in the field of surface technology. Participants deepen their knowledge of chemistry and learn all important topics from the origin and structure of atoms to chemical equilibrium and the pH value.

Chemistry I - Reaction equations

In this course you will learn the basics of chemistry and deepen your knowledge of the origin and structure of atoms, chemical elements and molar masses. You will learn how chemical reactions take place and how to set up and read chemical compounds. You will also learn how to calculate stoichiometric numbers. The course comprises 120 minutes and 60 practice questions.

Chemistry II - Chemical bonds

In this course, the topics of atomic structure, PSE, elements, reactions, compounds and molar mass are repeated and deepened. You will learn about the orbital model and quantum numbers and will deal with different types of bonds such as ionic bonds, atomic bonds, metal bonds and complex bonds. The course comprises 150 minutes and 90 exercise questions.

Chemistry III - Chemical equilibrium and pH

In this course you will explore the concept of entropy and the law of mass action. You will learn about chemical equilibrium and how to shift the equilibrium position. You will also look at ionic bonding and the principle of least constraint (Le Chatelier). The course concludes with the topic of pH. It comprises 110 minutes and 72 practice questions.

The online courses give you the opportunity to take part in the courses from anywhere. You will be guided through the topics step by step.
