Semi-finished products are often manufactured under harsh environmental conditions and with high throughput - with ever-increasing demands on dimensional accuracy, surface finish and technical cleanliness. This poses enormous challenges for automated inline measuring and inspection systems. Many inspection tasks simply fail due to the realization of universal, economical component handling around the actual inspection task. This trend will continue to increase in the future.
