Painting robots are increasingly conquering the industry

Dürr is adapting its painting technology to robotics solutions in general industry. In the latest cooperation with Kawasaki Robotics, both partners have prepared products from their respective portfolios so that they are electromechanically compatible with each other. This makes it much easier and quicker to connect robots and painting equipment to create a robot-assisted painting system.

In the "ready2integrate" concept, several Dürr products such as dosing pumps, color changers, spray guns and the so-called EcoBell2 technology harmonize with Kawasaki robots via interfaces. Selected Kawasaki robots have been adapted to the established Dürr EcoAUC control system, including the RS007L high-speed robot and the new KJ155 painting robot. With the help of a simple selection matrix, Kawasaki and Dürr products that match each other can be selected and quickly installed and commissioned. Several joint customer projects are already underway.

"Dürr is a global market leader in painting technology and the perfect partner for Kawasaki Robotics to combine state-of-the-art solutions with user-friendliness and cost-effectiveness. (...) We are very pleased to now bring our jointly achieved results to the market," says Marc Kluge, Team Leader Marketing at Kawasaki Robotics.
