GrindingHub, the new trade fair for grinding technology, will celebrate its premiere in Stuttgart from May 17 to 22. Around 340 renowned exhibitors from over 20 countries have expressed their confidence in the first event right from the start. This underlines GrindingHub's ambition to establish itself as an international hub for the industry. "The anticipation is great," says Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of GrindingHub organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), Frankfurt am Main. "After a forced break of more than two years for most trade fairs, everyone involved is eagerly awaiting the in-person reunion on site," Schäfer continues. "Digital formats simply don't have the same quality and reach as face-to-face events."
For their part, the exhibitors are strongly committed to GrindingHub. "For Anca, it feels like GrindingHub has already begun - our team, our customers and partners feel that this new leading trade fair will bring our entire industry forward. We are responding to this with the most diverse, innovative and exciting trade fair appearance in our history with world premieres, six machines and automation solutions. The web sessions and press preview will give you a foretaste of this," says Edmund Boland, Managing Director of Anca Europe GmbH, Weinheim.
Oskar Olai, CEO of 3nine, Hochheim, can hardly wait: "We are very much looking forward to getting back together with our partners, dealers, customers and potential customers after the long and isolated period during the pandemic. GrindingHub is our first trade fair in Germany since 2019 and I know that all my colleagues at 3nine are super excited."
Jürgen Hauger, Managing Director of the Vollmer Group, Biberach, also believes in the future of the new trade fair for grinding technology. "The organizers have succeeded in creating an attractive trade fair at a strategically favorable location that is geared towards the needs of our global customers. We are convinced that GrindingHub will become the new leading trade fair for grinding technology. Five world firsts from Vollmer await our visitors at the first GrindingHub in May 2022."
The visitor advertising campaign for GrindingHub has also been launched recently. "UGO - Unknown Grinding Objects is the name of unusual flying objects that will land in Stuttgart and only in Stuttgart in future," says VDW Managing Director Schäfer. Similar to the UFOs of the past, they arouse curiosity. Headlines such as "UGO* positions expertise in Stuttgart" or "UGO* also goes digital!" provide information. "If you want to know more, you absolutely have to come to Stuttgart in May," Schäfer invites the international sanding community.
Exhibitors and visitors can take part in the #ShowYourUGO challenge and showcase their UGO. "The best UGOs can then be admired in Stuttgart in May," concludes Schäfer.
