In recent weeks, Zeiss has welcomed a total of 272 young people for training at various locations in Germany, including trainees in surface coating. 183 of them are completing vocational training and 89 a dual study program.
The trainees and dual students will work at the sites in Oberkochen, Jena, Göttingen and Wetzlar in future. The majority of them will work at the main site in Oberkochen, Baden-Württemberg. Over the next three and a half years, the apprentices will be trained in various technical and commercial professions.
169 of them will start their technical vocational training in areas such as precision optics, industrial mechanics, IT or surface coating. Zeiss is training the 86 dual students together with its partner universities, the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Heidenheim, Mosbach, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, as well as the Gera-Eisenach Cooperative State University and the Glauchau State Academy. 35 young adults will complete their dual studies in various IT courses, 19 students in business administration courses and 32 others in technical courses such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.

It's great to have you with us," said Udo Schlickenrieder, Head of Vocational Training at Zeiss, welcoming the apprentices and dual students.
