Surface Technology Germany from June 4-6, 2024 in Stuttgart has come to a successful end. 240 exhibitors (2022: 220) and 4000 visitors (2022: approx. 3000) took part in this year's exhibition. A moderate increase, but one that did not cause any discontent among the exhibitors. Everyone was talking about the excellent quality of the talks.
At 34%, foreign exhibitors were once again strongly represented, with stands from China and India as well as from many European countries such as Switzerland, Italy and the UK. In total, exhibitors from 16 nations took part in Surface Technology. Unlike the last edition of the trade fair in 2022, there were no longer any restrictions, so that the exhibitor evening and hall parties could take place again after the trade fair days.
Everyone was talking about the excellent quality of the discussions
The Surface Award was once again presented in the Expert Forum. This year, 1st place went to an electroplating company: Holzapfel Metallveredlung won with a rotating and tilting electroplating rack. Second place went to J. Wagner from Markdorf for a powder quantity control system and third place to TE Connctivity for an environmentally friendly coating process for connectors.
Special feature: The new coating process is dry, produces no waste water and has a CO2 footprint that is up to 35% smaller than established electroplating processes.
ZVO Managing Director Christoph Matheis was satisfied with the trade fair. The expectations in terms of visitor numbers, quality of discussions, projects and investment plans had been met. Numerous industry companies presented themselves at the ZVO joint stand.
