The surface technology specialist SurTec is expanding its portfolio to include thread locking and bonded coatings, thus offering complete system solutions from a single source. At Surface Technology 2024, SurTec will be presenting innovative technologies from the fields of functional coatings and functional and decorative electroplating. The company is also an expert in the fields of industrial parts cleaning and metal pre-treatment.
Functional Coatings: For the first time, SurTec will be presenting its solutions in the field of functional coatings. These optimize the performance properties of materials, improve durability, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and electrical conductivity and reduce energy requirements and the use of hazardous substances. The portfolio includes functional coatings under the "precote" brand and, since 2024, bonded coatings and dry lubricants that form a low-friction lubricating layer on components.
Bright zinc process: SurTec is also presenting products for the alkaline and acid bright zinc process. The bright zinc process offers a robust coating with high corrosion resistance, suitable for large surfaces and mass production. SurTec 704, a cyanide-free alkaline bright zinc process, is characterized by excellent metal distribution and suitability for barrel and rack processes. SurTec 758 BC and SurTec 759 have been developed for the acid bright zinc process and offer high-gloss and ductile zinc coatings. SurTec 556 RT, a slip wax, increases corrosion protection and heat resistance after drying and is used as a post-treatment after coating and passivation.
