On Thursday, November 7, 2024, the company Linnhoff & Partner Galvanotechnik GmbH hosted the 6th Galvanozirkel. The conference was held at the Hotel VierJahreszeiten in Iserlohn. The lecture event is organized alternately by the companies Sager + Mack, aucos, Linnhoff & Partner, Munk, Mazurczak and Harter. The presentations will also be given by speakers from the six companies.
After a warm welcome to the guests, the event began with an excursion to Linnhoff & Partner. During a comprehensive tour of the company, the visitors were given exciting insights into the company's work processes and innovations. The response to the tour was consistently positive and created an open-minded atmosphere for the specialist presentations that followed.
Key messages from the presentations
The host himself kicked things off: Under the title "From the rack to the drum", Marius Neuhaus explained to the audience how the processing of rack goods is increasingly moving towards drum technology. He explained how the rack material can be fed into special units such as the electropolishing unit. This development is aimed at increasing efficiency and broadening the range of applications in electroplating technology. The conference room at the Hotel VierJahreszeiten in Iserlohn
Jonas List from Harter GmbH then gave the presentation "How they will dry tomorrow". The focus was on the Airgenex condensation drying process, which is based on heat pump technology. He presented the process as a convincing solution for energy-intensive industrial drying, combined with a clear focus on sustainability and climate protection. The event got off to a well-prepared start on November 7
The company Munk GmbH followed with a future-oriented approach in its presentation "Sustainability through Second-Life". Pascal Sobotta showed how existing systems can be maintained and improved through modular upgrades. This resource-saving approach was particularly well received in terms of sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Matthias Deuner from Mazurczak GmbH gave a presentation on "Clever and efficient temperature control with heat exchangers". His presentation offered practical advice on the selection, calculation and design of heat exchangers, which are essential for electroplating and surface technology. His practical examples made the theoretical content tangible.
Another highlight was the presentation by Aucos AG: "Increasing the performance of existing systems through the use of modern AI-supported automation technology". Speaker Andreas Scholz explained to the participants how existing systems can be significantly optimized through the targeted use of modern technologies without having to carry out costly new constructions. AI support in particular aroused great interest.
Sager + Mack GmbH & Co KG concluded the event with the presentation "Jet-Mack/continuous filtration without filter medium". Nina Mack presented an innovative system that impressed with its simple handling, cost efficiency and sustainable process optimization.
Mood and trends
The atmosphere during the event was characterized by a lively exchange and genuine enthusiasm. The participants particularly appreciated the mix of practical solutions and visionary approaches. A clear trend emerged: electroplating technology is increasingly focusing on sustainability, resource conservation and the use of intelligent technologies. The topics of artificial intelligence, energy-efficient processes and sustainable plant optimization were the main focus.
Conclusion
The 6th Galvanozirkel 2024 was not only a specialist forum, but also a melting pot for ideas, innovations and networks. The presentations not only offered in-depth specialist knowledge, but also encouraged reflection on the future of the industry. The participants went home with new contacts, inspiring impulses and fresh perspectives. The host, Linnhoff & Partner, once again demonstrated the importance of dialog between experts in order to make electroplating fit for the future.
