Information
The electroplating of tin and tin alloys, in particular lead-tin alloys, is of considerable importance in many technical applications. Two of the most important are the manufacture of tinplate and the manufacture and finishing of components in the field of electrical engineering and electronics.
This book was compiled with the aim of providing an overview of the current state of electrolytic deposition processes in this field. The focus is on practical applications.
A large part of the book is devoted to the description of scanning electron microscope investigations. Practical examples are used to show how such investigations can be used to find the cause of faults and, based on this, how a solution to the problem can be found.
