Electronics in the fast lane: how the fast lane from Elektron Systeme saves customer projects

Recent investments in a Fast Lane and an SMT Inline SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) ensure the perfect balance between quality and flexibility.

The fast lane is a specially developed process at Elektron Systeme, which routes orders through production with high priority and maximum efficiency. This starts with order acceptance: as soon as an order is entered into the system as a "fast lane", it is given the highest priority in the entire production chain. The production control system prioritizes these orders and immediately implements order picking and line scheduling. Production runs across three lines in three-shift operation, including on Saturdays if necessary, to ensure that deadlines are met.

A special "deadline hunter" - the fast lane representative - ensures that the entire process runs smoothly across all departments. This role is central to ensuring that no delays occur and that everyone involved is informed about the status of the project at all times. The existing ERP system is used to monitor and control the processes.

The new SMT Inline SPI offers an efficient way of monitoring and ensuring the quality of the solder paste during the production process. It not only contributes to quality improvement and process optimization, but also reduces production costs. The system is used to check the quality of the solder paste applied to the PCB before the components are assembled. The inspection is carried out inline, i.e. during the production process, without interrupting production.
