The technology developed by Fronius uses a hot-active plasma to remove dirt quickly, effectively and with pinpoint accuracy. The range of applications extends from aluminum and steel to plastic, glass and ceramics. The Acerios system generates a plasma flame of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius at atmospheric pressure. A robot guides the torch over the surface at speeds of around 6 meters per minute. Depending on requirements, entire surfaces or specific areas can be treated. When the hot-active plasma hits surfaces, the gas flow cleans mechanically on the one hand, while the plasma and the resulting heat trigger a chemical process on the other.
