The new potted SMD power inductors of the NPMG series from NIC Components offer very low DC and AC losses and can be used in DC/DC converters with frequencies of up to 5MHz.
The inductance values cover the range from 80nH to 15µH. The DC resistance (DCR) of the 80nH version is only 4.2mΩ (max). The series is available in 13 different housing sizes (2.0mm x1.6mm to 13mmx13mm). The current carrying capacity (Isat) reaches values from 1.3A up to 73A, depending on the inductance. The permissible operating temperature range (including self-heating) extends from -55°C to +155°C. According to the manufacturer, the power inductors are particularly suitable for applications such as DC/DC and AC/DC converters, base stations, servers, routers, switches and battery-powered mobile devices.
