The planned massive expansion of solar energy will be accompanied by a strong increase in ground-mounted photovoltaics in particular, which will also change nature and the landscape. From the outset, planning should therefore ensure that solar parks are designed to be largely nature-friendly.
Interventions in the landscape should be kept to a minimum and existing opportunities to protect and strengthen biodiversity should be used decisively. A wide range of research projects are currently dedicated to this issue.
The Competence Center for Nature Conservation and Energy Transition (KNE) is now providing all interested parties with an overview of current research projects on nature-friendly solar energy. With the new project overview, the KNE offers all practitioners a quick overview of ongoing or recently completed research projects and their results. On the other hand, researchers can immediately see which research teams are currently working on which specific issues. Further links refer to direct contact options for the individual projects and thus promote networking and professional exchange.
