Funding for renewable energy

Small and medium-sized companies in particular have great potential to make their own operations more energy-efficient. As the level of pollution is significantly lower than with conventional fuels, switching to renewable energies in particular makes an active contribution to this.

Local authorities and companies have been receiving subsidies for the use of renewable energies since the beginning of the year. According to the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control, a subsidy rate of up to 45 percent applies. The assessment basis includes the type of heating system and building - a distinction must be made between existing buildings and new buildings. "Costs incurred in connection with the installation of such a system can already be included in the calculation of the subsidy," explains Tobias Thiel, Managing Director of enermarket GmbH and an expert in the energy industry.
