Kaco New Energy GmbH is launching two multi-MPPT string inverters for the mid-range system segment. The "blueplanet 100 NX3" and "blueplanet 125 NX3" devices are equipped with eight and ten MPP trackers respectively and are therefore particularly suitable for complex rooftop systems.
Thanks to the maximum input current of 30 amps per tracker, modules with large-format solar cells and correspondingly high currents can also be connected. The use of silicon carbide semiconductors (SiC) enables higher switching frequencies and a higher temperature tolerance. The high switching frequencies have also made it possible to reduce the weight of the devices to 84 kilograms, which corresponds to a power-to-weight ratio of significantly less than one kilogram per kilowatt. The maximum efficiency is 99.1 %, the European efficiency is 98.7 %.
The devices allow the solar generator output to be oversized by up to 200%, so that solar modules with a total output of 200 or 250 kilowatts can be connected - a market peculiarity that Kaco has realized at the customer's request.
