The industry association "Hydrogen Europe" comprises around 260 companies and 27 national associations that jointly promote and further develop fields of application for hydrogen as an energy source and fuel cell technology. DEKRA will be involved in numerous committees within the association. The energy carrier hydrogen is seen as an important building block for achieving the goals of the Paris climate protection agreement.
The expert knowledge of a TIC organization is needed across the entire value chain of hydrogen technology: for example, in climate-neutral energy generation from wind or solar energy, hydrogen production, transport via pipeline, (water) road or rail, safe fuel cell applications in vehicles or plants and the certification of climate-neutrally produced hydrogen.
This commitment is in line with the organization's ambitious Sustainability Strategy 2025. It is committed to the principles of the UN Global Compact and supports the vision of a sustainable global economy.
