Munk GmbH, Hamm, an important manufacturer of power supply systems for industrial applications, celebrated its 50th anniversary on April 1, 2020. The company employs more than 100 specialists at its main plant in North Rhine-Westphalia and confidently follows the motto "We have the power".
"We never take our standing in the market, our image as a reliable and competent partner and, last but not least, our success for granted. We are well aware that such attributes do not come by chance, but have to be hard-earned," explains Managing Director Frank Munk, who runs the company together with his brother Thorsten.On April 1, 1970, the young Karl Heinz Munk turned his lifelong dream into reality and laid the foundations for what the company is today by founding Munk GmbH. "The past 50 years have been characterized by hard work, major investments and consistent further development," says Thorsten Munk. The last point in particular also required a certain amount of risk-taking. After all, it has always been about recognizing trends and long-term market developments as early as possible, navigating the company in a targeted manner and positioning it for the future. "This is just as relevant today and tomorrow as it was in the past, which is why we are always confident about what awaits us. Because you can rely on our experience, the know-how we have accumulated and our pronounced sensitivity," continues Thorsten Munk.
Munk customers know this too. Frank Munk: "In addition to the first-class quality and durability of our products, they particularly appreciate the 'all-round'. Before we present our products to a customer, we enter into a dialog with them in order to ultimately develop the optimal, tailor-made solution together - true to the motto: Taylormade in Germany. Of course, "off the shelf" is also possible, as long as it suits the customer. The broad product portfolio offers countless possibilities here. Another argument in favor of Munk GmbH is the high degree of flexibility and proximity to the customer, whether in terms of consulting, implementation or maintenance/calibration.
"In 2020, we are not just looking back on our 50-year company history. Rather, we are celebrating half a century of further development instead of stagnation, dialog instead of monologue and thinking ahead instead of copying. We would like to thank our entire team for five decades of hard work and craftsmanship, for fresh ideas and dirty blue men, as well as for performance at the desk and drive at the workbench.
