Toshiba, the technology group that has been delivering highly efficient and powerful HVAC systems for commercial and residential buildings for decades, has now unveiled its latest models in the R32 series - the new Shorai Edge indoor and outdoor units. Shorai Edge sets new standards in design and technology - the system combines unique and compelling aesthetics with first-class performance, energy efficiency class A+++ in heating and cooling mode, whisper-quiet operation and intelligent control.
The housing of the indoor unit can be quickly and easily attached to any wall thanks to cut-outs for cable connections. FCU models (fan coil units) can be connected to both single and multi-split systems (condensers).
With a sound pressure level of just 44 dB(A), the Shorai Edge outdoor unit is the quietest air conditioning system on the market. In addition, the silent mode function reduces the noise level of the outdoor unit by 6 dB(A). At the same time, the Quiet function reduces the indoor noise level to a barely audible 19 dB (A).
Thanks to energy efficiency class A+++ in both heating and cooling mode, Shorai Edge offers the best partial load efficiency in this market segment and ensures a low environmental impact with R32 refrigerant. Toshiba's innovative rotary compressor and inverter technology allows the speed of the compressor to be controlled as required at any time, enabling continuous regulation of the heating and cooling capacity. With a total of seven Shorai Edge models covering a cooling capacity of 2.0 to 7.0 kW and a heating capacity of 2.5 to 8.0 kW, there is something for everyone. The units have a SEER value (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 8.6 and a SCOP value (Seasonal Coefficient Of Performance) of 5.1.
Toshiba is also introducing the new "HADA Care" technology with Shorai Edge. This innovative technology ensures improved air distribution while protecting the skin's moisture. Thanks to their special design, the air guide fins generate an indirect air flow depending on their position. This circulates the air in the upper part of the room, which ensures a more even room temperature and a high level of comfort.
At the same time, the PM 2.5 Ultra Pure filter captures up to 94 % of fine dust particles with a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometers. As studies have shown a close link between exposure to fine dust particles and lung disease, Toshiba has paid particular attention to healthy air in your home.
To maximize comfort, Shorai Edge offers intuitive remote control functions, including presets, energy selection and ECO mode to reduce energy costs and Hi-Power mode for extremely fast cooling or heating. In addition, users can set on/off times with the weekly timer.
Thanks to the integrated wireless adapter, Shorai Edge can also be easily controlled via WiFi using the Toshiba Home AC Control app.
