Brenscheidt - Services for all aspects of technical surfaces

Electroplating technology is subject to an almost unmanageable number of parameters. Perhaps this is also a reason why coaters and their customers often do not understand each other sufficiently. Particularly in the event of problems and complaints, situations quickly arise that make communication more difficult instead of helping to solve the problem.

This is where Brenscheidt Galvanik Service has been positioning itself with its services since 2017. Founded by Oliver Brenscheidt and Dominik West, the company now offers its customers a wide range of services relating to technical surfaces. BGS works independently and always neutrally.

The laboratory is equipped with a wide range of analytical equipment, similar to that found in the analysis laboratories of electroplating companies: Titrator, Hull cell, microscope, photometer, XRF. Since 2020, BGS has gone one step further: a modern Zeiss digital microscope brings us as close as possible to the surface. Roughness measurements and the visualization of damaged areas or layer topographies are possible.

In addition, there are soldering tests (e.g. according to DIN EN IEC 60068-2-20), whisker tests (according to various standards), passivation tests (e.g. with the in-house developed method for silver passivation) and corresponding dry or steam aging.

In addition to pure analysis, BGS also offers other services. These include, for example, training for those responsible for design, quality or production with regard to the special challenges of electroplating technology. These are tailored to the needs of the customer as in-house training courses. Among other things, this has resulted in a 3-hour webinar on the basics of electroplating, which can be booked online at any time. Oliver Brenscheidt personally accompanies the webinars and is available to answer questions at any time.

But the laboratory can do even more: e.g. electroplating prototypes and small series, developing processes for customers or adapting bath components to special challenges.

The aim is to be the central point of contact for everyone who works with electroplating or is interested in it.
