Decker Anlagenbau: Comprehensive solutions for surfaces

The mobility of tomorrow places high demands on surfaces. Battery trays of long-range electric vehicles often consist of specially treated aluminum parts that can be easily bonded. Special pre-treatments are required for this. Decker Anlagenbau from Berching in Bavaria is committed to "all types of surface treatment". This also includes unusual requirement profiles such as partial coating - for example, if "only" the running surface of a piston in the cylinder is to come into contact with the medium. The Decker range of services is broad. "Pickling passivation systems for aluminum structural parts are currently in particularly high demand, which makes us very happy: this is one of the many fields in which we are really fit," says Bernhard Hilliges, Managing Director at Decker.

Sophisticated system technology and automation require sophisticated and precisely manufactured high-quality system components. Bernhard Hilliges refers to his company's extensive expertise and experience in the field of drums. The Berching-based company builds them in any length and diameter. Decker drums can be easily adapted to existing system technology in order to optimize the usable volume. The perfect perforation also helps to increase efficiency.

"We have developed very good and now tried-and-tested solutions for key requirements: More inner volume with the same outer diameter, and the fluid exchange works faster - this reduces carryover. We also ensure excellent current transfer thanks to multiple contacts," says Hilliges, describing further features of the Decker drums. They are available in different versions, optimized for the respective customer requirements.

Key sectors such as the automotive industry, aviation, the construction sector and the semiconductor industry are undergoing profound change. This development requires optimum responses to new requirements, particularly in terms of surface treatment. Of course, it's all about technology - but much more besides. General conditions are changing rapidly - and this has a major impact on organizational processes. Rethinking quickly, acting efficiently; reacting flexibly to procurement bottlenecks; new energy sources: These are already everyday processes for the Decker specialists. "We are constantly dealing with general topics such asCO2 footprint and energy requirements, but we also pay just as much attention to the details such as minimizing interfaces during the project phase, space requirements and expandability," says Hilliges.

Automation, robot loading and unloading, all from a single source: the Decker portfolio covers many challenges that need to be mastered in different industries. However, the system all-rounders think several steps ahead - namely strategically in the interests of their customers. "Investments in new systems, conversions or modernizations must be considered sustainably and holistically. Especially in the current geopolitical situation. Build smaller first and expand later? What will tomorrow's requirements be? What does the total investment, i.e. the sum of acquisition and operating costs, look like? What about reliability and ease of use? These and many other aspects flow into our work in order to be able to offer our customers the truly optimal overall package. To this end, we communicate openly and honestly, contribute our experience and think solutions through to the end," explains the Decker Managing Director. "There are two central Decker principles: Firstly, efficiency is key; secondly, good customer relationships last for decades," says Hilliges.
