Färber & Schmid: New production facility creates space for innovation and growth

Färber & Schmid AG has commissioned a new plant for the production of flocculants in powder form at its Rafz site. With this new investment of around 1.5 million euros, the company is significantly expanding its production capacities and laying the foundations for further growth and the development of new products.

The modern plant is almost fully automated and allows precise control of all process steps. From dosing and mixing to filling, the processes are controlled and reproducible. This ensures consistently high product quality, which is crucial in industrial wastewater treatment. The technical design also makes it possible to produce different recipes flexibly, which paves the way for customer-specific solutions and innovative product variants.

One focus of the planning was on the sustainable design of production. Energy-optimized drive systems, modern control technology and efficient exhaust air ducting reduce energy consumption and improve the use of resources. This is complemented by optimized packaging and logistics processes, which further reduce the ecological footprint. However, sustainability is not only evident in the production process: the products themselves also make an important contribution by enabling the efficient purification of industrial waste water and thus helping to protect water resources.

The new plant opens up far-reaching prospects for Färber & Schmid. On the one hand, existing markets can be better served and, on the other, the additional capacity creates space for new developments. Customers will benefit from greater availability, a wider range of products and innovative solutions that go beyond previous standards.
